[EXPIRED] Barrack Road and Bargates Crossings Consultation
There are a number of proposals for Traffic Regulation Orders associated with the Bargates / Police Station Development.
These proposals provide crossing points on Bargates and Barrack Road towards Christchurch Town Centre, with the addition of a bus stop clearway.
Please note the consultation deadline is 20th February 2026.

Please find attached the Notice of Proposals for the above Traffic Regulation Order which has been published in the Bournemouth Echo (30 January 2026).
P128 is a proposal to reduce the existing taxi bay by 6m to allow for installation of a controlled crossing on Bargates.
C3 is the notice of intention to install three controlled crossings
