Help Stop Irresponsible E-Scooter and E-Cycle Riding
Members have long raised issues of anti-social and reckless riding around Christchurch by user of 'powered transporters': e-scooters, e-bicycles and e-motorcycles; as well as some traditional bicycles.
Particular concern was that of speed and riding on pedestrian areas, which can be a lethal combination. Riders of both legal and illegal vehicles behaving with little regard for others, especially around areas like the Fountain Roundabout subway, which is showing no sign of abating; it's important to try and stop this behaviour for everyone's sake before someone is injured or worse.
What can you do?
You can report any irresponsible or illegal riding to Dorset Police - see their contact us for all the ways you can make contact.
Specifically, you can raise an online report by:
- Submitting a Report of Antisocial Behaviour
- at Step 5, pick "Vehicles"
- then, "Speeding or antisocial vehicle use"
- then, "Someone using a vehicle in an antisocial way"
You can also keep details of any incident and report it to the police via one of their Mobile Police Stations.
